Garath McCleary backed former Reading teammate John Swift to move to the Premier League.
Swift has had a breathtaking season so far, scoring seven goals and adding five assists in just 11 league appearances.
The form saw the 26-year-old, who is out of contract next summer, linked with numerous Premier League sides including Newcastle United, Aston Villa and Brentford ahead of a possible change in January or as a free agent at the end. of the season.

Swift actually has a high profile appearance under his belt with Chelsea, the club where he rose through the ranks.

McCleary was Swift’s teammate at Reading for four years until 2020 and the Wycombe Wanderers winger admits the playmaker has what it takes to cut him back to Premier League level.
“Swifty is a really good player,” McCleary said on a live Instagram video with @threethirteenltd.
“He’s doing things in training where you think he can definitely take it to the next level.
“He’s played really well this season, I’m watching and he’s a very good player.
“He’s a nice guy too and he definitely has what it takes to play at the highest level.”
