Lo Celso is now set to contest a Champions League semi-final against Liverpool following the La Liga side’s recent win over Bayern Munich in the quarter-finals.

And the Spurs loanee played a big role in both games against Bayern with 180 accumulated minutes and the Man of the match award for the first leg in Spain.

With the £27m man playing an important role with Villarreal, Bridge believes the Argentine could be close to leaving North London after joining in 2019 initially on loan:

“THello, you are To go for to have for to leave to go of people. I think Lo Celso will be to have a movement. Yeswe to know, Unai Emery has already mentioned,I love him’. You have obtained Most likely other teams go want to to go for him as fine,” Bridge said.

TIF’s thoughts on Bridge’s comments…

We tend to agree with Bridge that the possibility of Lo Celso no longer playing for Spurs is becoming more and more likely as the days go by.

The Argentine has made a big impact in Unai Emery’s side since his arrival with 13 appearances in all competitions already under his belt.

Considering he was clearly not favored by Antonio Conte, his impressive form for the La Liga side is only good news for the north London club heading into the summer.

Lo Celso impressing for Villarreal will only increase the possibility of the Spanish side looking to make the deal permanent and if not, his man-of-the-match performances have surely caught the eye of other European teams.

And with Dejan Kulusevski already overshadowing Lo Celso’s Premier League contribution, his potential departure could end up being a win-win for both parties.
