Tottenham are stuck in a ‘total disaster of a situation’ as they attempt to offload Tanguy Ndombele this summer.
That’s the view of Spurs insider John Wenham, who regularly announces club news on his Lilywhite Rose social media channels.
As Fabrizio Romano reported via Caught Offside (July 13), the 25-year-old’s agents are in talks with
The Frenchman joined former side Olympique Lyonnais on loan in January, with the Ligue 1 side finishing a disappointing eighth.
Wenham suggested Tottenham should wait until the final days of the window to get him out in what will likely be another temporary switch.
Asked what he expects to happen with Ndombele this summer, Wenham replied Football Insiders Well savage: “I think he’ll go on loan on the very last day of the window to a real disappointing French club.
“Well below the levels of Lyon and teams like that. Somewhere like Bordeaux, Guingamp, St Etienne, although I’m not even sure they are at the top level anymore.
“Someone really below the level where Tottenham are paying all their wages and another year of their contract is gone. It’s a farce of a situation we’re trapped in, with him on £200,000 a week and in three years. It’s a total disaster of a situation.
Ndomebele has made just 13 appearances for Tottenham in the 2021/22 campaign.
He only played seven times under Antonio Conte before being loaned out.
