Wales women’s team named for World Cup qualifying play-offs

Gemma Grainger has chosen her 26-man squad for the FIFA Women’s World Cup qualifying play-offs in October.

Grainger’s side will face Bosnia and Herzegovina at Cardiff City Stadium on Thursday October 6th (KO 7:15pm) in the first round, the winners will then face Switzerland at Stadion Letzigrund in Zurich on October 11 (KO 7:00pm).

Grainger has a nearly full squad available, with the only omission being Natasha Harding who is unavailable for personal reasons.

Over 9,000 tickets have been sold for the match against Bosnia and Herzegovina, with the team hoping to see another record crowd for the third time this campaign. Match tickets start at just £2 (group bookings) and £4 (individual bookings) for children, available at
